Chocolate Coconut Mini Egg Nests
What I love about Chocolate Coconut Nests
How CUTE are these little Chocolate Coconut Mini Egg Nests!? Not only are they delicious (obvs) and so fun for Easter time, but they make the most adorable little place settings for your Easter dinner table! Or, maybe you’re hosting an egg hunt and want a little something special for the food table. They can be shared in so many different ways and whatever the reason you make them, everyone is sure to enjoy them!
The base is made of shredded or desiccated coconut coated in melted chocolate with a little coconut oil and that’s it! Yep, you only need 4 ingredients to make these little morsels. The nests themselves require little patience for shaping them, but once that’s finished they will set up very fast in the freezer, about 10 minutes. Then you’re ready to fill them! And when it comes time to put the eggs into the nests, you can call on the kids to help; they will love it!
What you will need to make Chocolate Coconut Mini Egg Nests
Here’s a list of ingredients that you will need:
Chocolate - You can use chopped chocolate or chocolate chips for melting. Whatever you have!
Coconut oil - You will need jut about 2 tsp coconut oil to melt with the chocolate to make it easier to work with.
Shredded coconut - You can use shredded or desiccated coconut for this recipe. I like shredded coconut for these as the coconut shreds are longer which make them look more like branches.
Mini eggs - Use your favourite chocolate mini eggs to fill the nests!
