Welcome to my mostly gluten-free, grain-free blog! Years ago before it was even trendy, my husband and I tried the Keto diet. We did really well and actually loved it! Things have changed over the years, but one thing that hasn’t changed is the fact that we still eat gluten-free. I have carried on certain things like baking with almond flour, eating more vegetables and foods higher in healthy fats. You might find that my recipes are a little different as I don’t use the typical gluten-free flours like rice flour, potato starch or all-purpose gluten-free flours. Instead, most of my baking recipes include almond flour, tapioca flour and occasionally oat or coconut flour. All of which are gluten-free and, with the exception of oat flour, grain-free!
I have a passion for eating and cooking with clean, organic foods as well as local foods when possible. All of my produce comes from a local organic grocer that has become my favourite grocery shopping spot over the years. I also buy meat from our local butcher where I know it has been ethically raised without the use of added hormones or antibiotics. All of my eggs too, come from various small farms in town. I have learned a lot over the years about how to choose foods that will nourish and heal our bodies and I hope I can share some of that knowledge with you!
I never dreamed of being a food blogger or a photographer but here I am and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I have fallen in love with food and the infinite ways we can be creative with it. I love the way food is often the center of community and gatherings with friends and family. My husband and I are both foodies and our favorite thing to do together is to try new restaurants and enjoy new food experiences together. It excites us and inspires us!
I hope this blog inspires you too to try new recipes and maybe even create your own someday. I am thrilled and grateful to be able to share some of my favourite recipes and creations with you and I hope that you enjoy them too! Be sure to head over to the contact page to say hello and let me know what kind of recipes you would you like to see.
Thank you so much for being here and following along!
