What I love about PB and J Frozen Yogurt Bars
These peanut butter and โjamโ frozen yogurt bars are next-level delicious! Not only do they taste amazing, but they also include everything you’d typically find in your morning granola bowl. In other words, yesโyou can absolutely eat them for breakfast. To make them, I mix rich, creamy Greek yogurt with honey, crushed raspberries, and generous swirls of peanut butter, creating a snack that works any time of day.
But I didnโt stop there. To take these bars to the next level, I dip them in dark chocolate. And trust meโitโs a total game changer. After all, chocolate and peanut butter are a classic combo, while chocolate and raspberries are equally irresistible. With that in mind, adding the chocolate coating just felt right. Best of all, you only need two bowls, a popsicle mold, and a freezer to bring these treats to life.
When it comes to summer snacks, these bars are tough to beat. Not only do they cool you down on a hot day, but they also double as a hearty, satisfying snack. Unlike typical ice pops made with just water or juice, these are packed with whole milk Greek yogurt and creamy peanut butter, offering up a boost of healthy fats and protein in every bite. And hereโs the kicker: you only need six ingredients to make them!
Recipe Notes
A few things to keep in mind:
- Yogurt – You will need full-fat, plain greek yogurt for this recipe. This will ensure that these frozen treats are ultra rich and creamy while also adding protein as well. Make sure you use plain yogurt as we will add honey to sweeten the bars.
- Raspberries – Juicy, fresh raspberries bring the โjamโ in these bars to life. I gently crush them and fold them into the yogurt until the fruit is evenly swirled throughout. Raspberries are my favourite, but feel free to swap in blackberries or strawberries if thatโs more your preference.
- Peanut butter – I went with a natural, creamy peanut butter for this recipe. Instead of fully mixing it into the yogurt, I swirl it in just enough to leave rich pockets throughout. Those frozen bites of peanut butter are what make these bars seriously irresistible! You can use whatever peanut butte you like as long as it’s smooth.
- Chocolate – Dipping the yogurt bars in chocolate just takes them to the next level! I love dark chocolate for a little contrast to the sweetness, but you can use milk chocolate as well. Melting chocolate, chocolate chunks or chocolate chips all work for this recipe.
